One of Australia's largest and most vibrant artistic communities goes on show every September
(December from 2013) withthe Marrickville Contemporary Art Prize (MCAP). Spanning multiple
venues, MCAP showcases the creativediversity and artistic excellence of the very best artists
in the Marrickville community.
MCAP, founded in 2007 and now in its sixth year, features artworks across the spectrum of contemporary art
mediums and practices, attracts large audiences at its award presentations, public
programs and exhibitions and is a much anticipated event in the arts and cultural calendar.
